Sometimes you wait three months to hear back from a school about an interview, and when the big day approaches, no matter how much you tell yourself that everything that is supposed to happen will happen, and no matter how much you try to distract yourself, you still get antsy.
Sometimes you can be the most unstressed person in the entire world and nerves will still get to you, enough so that you don't sleep well for a week, and you completely lose your appetite.
Sometimes you try to exercise more and that just doesn't help.
Sometimes you lose friends when you are striving toward your "up" goals, because you don't have time to spend with them and they get upset with you.
Sometimes you'll go to class and have to deal with grumpy professors on top of exhaustion.
Sometimes you acknowledge that mixtape that has been sitting in your car for a while. The one that you made in 5th grade. So you pop it in and are temporarily taken back to a time where Chumbawomba and Eve6 and the Grease Megamix and Macarena were cool.
Sometimes you walk into a hospital and are confused when you meet a doctor on the stairs who looks vaguely familiar, but he doesn't seem recognize you. Then you realize he's the doctor that pops up on the hospital website and they aren't just random pictures of people.
Sometimes you ask a patient how they are doing and they proceed to tell you their whole life story for an hour and a half.
Sometimes you help people and for a glorious four and a half hours, don't think about all the heavy things in your life. :)
