Well the end of the semester is coming to a close. I just have a cumulative final in Organic Chemistry next Monday and I am done for a month! Well, done in the school work sense. I plan on using that time to study up for interviews, if I should get any. I know that interviews vary from school to school...some will ask only the basic questions (What is a PA, why do you want to be one, why not MD or NP, etc), some will tack on some ethical questions (ie you find out your supervising physician is stealing restricted drugs because his neighbor can't afford them and needs them, what do you do), and some will even ask you basic physiology questions (What is the Frank Starling law of the heart? How many ATPs are produced in the electron transport chain?). Therefore I am thankful that I will have four or so weeks off to brush up on everything.

Just an update on the interview invite front, I know I'm not a competitive applicant at one school (who has already sent out invites), and the other school is hoping start sending them out next week. So maybe I'm going to get a really nice Christmas present!

Some days I spend copious amounts of time on this one website that is the resource of all resources for PA stuff. I'm sure any PA related person reading this knows about www.physicianassistantforum.com. It's a message board filled with PA-Cs, PA-Ss, and Pre-PAs. There are boards for each PA school, interview help, study help for Pre-PAs, case studies, ethical and professional issues, etc. It's actually such a good resource that right now all I want to do is hang out there and read instead of studying for my cumulative....organic chemistry....final. But really, if there is anyone out there in cyberspace who is reading this and is interested in the PA profession and hasn't been there, do it! You'll be very grateful.
