In case you were wondering, I did NOT have a rejection dream last night. I dreamt about being friends with Rihanna.....(?!?! I don't even like her music, haha).
That's not a very PA thing to write though on a PA-themed blog, so let's see.....I don't think I ever talked about last Friday at the ER when it was the busiest in there that I have ever seen. We had one person come in by ambulance, and we had to send him and the EMTs to the waiting room because we simply didn't have any space (he wasn't an emergency, obviously). It was so busy that I failed to see two dear friends of mine who were there for an hour when I was there (that is quite an accomplishment, since there are only 45 beds in the department. I love it when it is busy because that means more work for me, and more stuff for me to see. I spent a little bit of time talking with a Korean War vet who was telling me about how he wanted to write a book about what it's like growing up during the Depression, and then maybe people would see that we're not as bad off as we think we are, economy-wise. Just to clarify, yes I think it's horrible that people are losing their jobs and whatnot, but are we really having to make the level of sacrifices that our elders did 75 years ago? Anyways, it was interesting listening to him talk. I do love listening to the elderly talk. :)
