    Happenings

Yesterday was an easy day, we just had to come in the morning to present to the other lab group and then we had the rest of the day free. I went to Ikea just to check out some things I wanted to buy because of a super sale they are having, but wasn't planning on buying anything because I didn't think I could fit it in my car. Well, lo and behold I managed to get a bookcase and a desk into my car (200 lbs of furniture) all by myself. I spent most of the day yesterday setting it up. It was a true Ikea experience, in how hard it was to put it together! It wasn't the directions, but the actual screwing of everything. I still haven't gotten the desk done.

In between the Ikea building I stopped by financial aid....again. The fin aid counselor called the U.S. Dept. of Education, who basically told her "We know there is a problem that the loan counseling isn't being reported correctly. We don't know what the problem is, and we don't know when it is going to be fixed. Be patient." Great...meanwhile bills are starting to add up. Thankfully I have money saved but this is just kind of crazy. The fin aid lady was so funny! She was getting so mad about the whole situation and was taking it out on Obama. Thankfully they have offered me a no-interest loan if I need it, but this is just getting to be crazy.

We opened up our tumor yesterday and it reminded me of those drawings of mitochondria in bio class, with the capsule and the different pockets inside of it.
