I'm done. It wasn't pretty but I passed all my exams and that's all matters :)

I have a basketball tonight so I decided to come in and get some work done. I finished up my differentials for oral boards. Before you go on rotations, you have to pass boards, which is where you are orally tested on a good chunk of what you have learned this year. First they give you a common chief complaint, like cough or dizziness, and you have to list 20-25 things that cause that symptom (which is what they call a differential diagnosis). We have 17 of those that we are accountable for. After you give your differential, they pick one of 45 diseases, and you have 15 minutes to talk about everything you know about the disease. Then you repeat. It's a pretty stressful process, we're told, and they tell you to start studying early. But how do you study early when you are taking 3 exams a week? That's why I decided to take today to get work done. It's one less thing I have to worry about.
