Survived hell week and the week after. It's scary how I'm able to function only consistently 4-5 hours of sleep (and scary to see how being chronically sleep deprived affects cognitive function). The great news is...I got a GREAT rotation schedule!!!!

st rotatation: Internal Medicine at a Philadelphia hospital. This one I requested because it was in-patient, and a lot of the school's IM rotations were primarily outpatient. The good news about this rotation is that it is extremely heavy on physical exam skills and you get awesome at writing H+Ps, so it's the perfect way to start off our clinical year.

nd rotation: Surgery in Maine (about 45 mins north of where I grew up). Heard from a friend who did this rotation that it's AWESOME. I'm super excited!

rd rotation: Emergency Medicine in a town north of Philly. I'm really stoked because this is supposed to be a great rotation, and the site only takes two students a year, so I got lucky. It'll be nice because I won't be stuck in just fast track (which is where most PAs in emed work), I will be doing everything from the main ER to trauma and whatnot. It's gotten great reviews from students :)

th rotation: Geriatrics/Hospice (at school): everyone does this one

th rotation: Psych: addiction medicine in North Philadelphia (the very worst part of Philadelphia safety wise). This should be an experience to say the least.

th rotation: Pediatrics: I requested this one because it's one of the best we have, and it's also at a rural clinic that does emed peds as well as OB-GYN. It's in the very northeast part of the state, and rumor has it, you stay at a bed and breakfast!

th rotation: OB-GYN in the Bronx (NY). This is probably the most intense OB-GYN rotation we have, and I'm glad I'll be getting a little OB-GYN in my peds rotation right before this. It is a typical hardcore OB-GYN rotation, where you have cranky attendings to work with, crazy work loads, and 30 hr shifts once a week. The great news is that I'll actually learn an incredible, incredible amount about OB! (a lot of our OB-GYN rotations are really P-Gyn (prenatal) and don't have an OB at all, so I'm excited for this one).

th rotation: Family Medicine at a site in NJ that has gotten a ton of great reviews. It's my last rotation! It should pretty easy and relaxed seeming as how I will have already learned most of what family med incorporates from my other rotations.

Overall I love the sites that I got and I also love the order of them. I cannot wait to finally get this started!
