Well I have already made my list of schools that I am going to apply to next year. There are eight possibilities, and I'll probably narrow them down to five over time. I'm currently on to plan B which I had formulated when I first started applying last year. This entails applying to a school that starts in Jan. '10, which means that interviews would be this summer. Then if that doesn't work out, it's onto plan C, which involves getting certified in something and applying to the new list of schools.

I also bought my book for Medical Spanish, and they don't waste any time getting into the medical terminology. I was expecting that we would start with the basics...you know, the alphabet, numbers, the verb conjugations for "I am" and "I have." Stuff like that. Instead we're learning the terms for all the medical specialties, and how to get their background information (as if we were registering them).

The only thing I am questioning about this class is that it is an online class. This means that in learning all of the terminology, I could be butchering the pronunciation. Thankfully I have prime access to a retired Spanish teacher, which is a huge connection!
