Sooo....the school doesn't discuss ranks on the alternate list. Therefore I am going to carry on with my life and proceed with Plan B. I'm not gonna worry about it, because I figure if I'm supposed to be there, I will be there. It would also be silly for me to hang on to the fact that I "might" be accepted, and therefore spend who knows how many months playing the waiting game. I'm going to start studying for the GRE and get some more shadowing in and prepare for an early application to the next CASPA cycle, and no matter what, I'm in a win-win situation. Anyways, if I do get a phone call of acceptance, that will be one of the greatest things ever because it will be such a surprise.
In case you're wondering, I have done research on apartments in the city and good places to live (only because I heard it called "the armpit of the state" and got a little concerned). If I ever did get a last minute phone call, I have all that research done and behind me:)
Having to explain to people that I am "only wait-listed" has really reaffirmed my belief that not getting accepted is not the end of the world. It will give me another year to prepare myself and make myself better. Really, I'm in a good spot no mwatter what:)
