    My visit with the PA

This past Monday, I was up in Maine getting a physical done for school. I had it done with a PA. I think in the 30 mins we spent in the appointment, only five was dedicated to the actual physical, because we spent so much time talking! In fact, we talked about the PA profession so much that as I was on my way driving back to Mass, I realized that we hadn't even done the lab work required for school! I think he was exactly what the PA profession is about and I loved talking with him. He is truly committed to providing care for the underserved populations in this country, and even said something to the extent of "It may not be glamorous work but these people need us too, and I believe it is the best way to help our health care system." He even made a good point about prison medicine, which he has spent time doing, saying that just because those people didn't have good role models growing up doesn't mean they don't deserve good health care." I really enjoyed talking with him...even if we both forgot to complete a major portion of the physical!

p.s. I'm sorry part of this site is in a different language, I keep on searching for a layout I actually like but haven't found quite the one yet...
