    Observations

-Philadelphia is about 20 degrees warmer than Boston
-My 4th floor apartment is about ten degrees warmer than the 1st and second floor apartments
-There is a LOT of cool architecture in the area
-The neighborhoods are really spotty around here. One street will have tons of beautiful, expensive homes, the next block will be filled with deteriorating buildings and garbage out front
-I am definitely a minority (which is a good thing)
-There is either a lot of angry people in the city, or a higher concentration of angry people. Whatever it is, there are some anger problems here.
-There is a huge variation in gas prices around here (we're talking a 20 cent swing)
-I found a potential church today simply by typing my address into Google maps, typing "church" into the search nearby box, clicking on 50+ church locations, and finding one that seems to be a little more of what I am used to. There is literally a church or two on every block in the neighborhood I live in, but they are all very traditional Lutheran/Presbyterian, or more Pentecostal/Southern Baptist in nature. Anyway, the church I went to was nice, reminds me of a certain New York friend's, and I may go back next week.
